Oh wow! What a treasure!

My mother made quilts like this from feed sacks. I can't say this is one of hers, but when she passed, my brother sold all her finished quilts and unfinished tops to an antique store, somewhere in the Carthage, MO area.
Hope it turns out real well for you. |
Wow lucky you. I look forward to seeing it completed.

You did good girl. Even at $79 it would have been a bargain, but $30, that's a huge score for you. So happy that it will be finished, and especially hand quilted, giving it the respect it deserves, even though the quilter is anonymous.

Always happy over posts that save wonderful antique quilts and make use of them, either practical or decorative. This quilt is gorgeous and will be a showpiece! Kudos to you for saving it!

Beautiful top! Lucky you!

That will finish up really pretty. There is some stuff at Joann's that will take the rust out. Treat before you start quilting to avoid mixing hand oil with the rust.

That is a treasure. And when you hand quilt it, it will be even more a treasure for you.

Nice find. It should finish up nicely!
