Very beautiful. If it were my quilt, I would add another border and make it about 4" finished and use the same fabric that is your sashing cornerstones and bind it in the same thing. I think it would really frame it well and stand out. Somewone mentioned circular quilting and that sounds nice. Good luck.

Thanks for all your input!! It really helped. I struggled getting this one done as I wasn't quite sure of the burgundy and the gold going with the print very well. I don't have a lot of material left so I can't make a border too wide and I may have to mix the colors. Can't wait to figure this one out - I've already started my next project.

WOW ! Beautiful ! Maybe send it to me and I will evaluate up close and personal and then when/if I send it back will give you my recommendations

I too agree that it needs another border. I also agree with the circles quilting or a swirl.

I would definitely add a border, and when you do, I would stick with one that is simple. Those blocks are beautiful and you want to add some "calm" around it, and draw the eye to the blocks (inward) instead of out toward the border. Burgandy is a nice choice, but I also like the idea of a rich light brown, one that has lots of depth to just soften it. I have a picture in my head, but unfortunately, haven't figured out how to scan those and post 'em!! Nice job - it's a really pretty quilt.

I agree about the calming border. I have the tan left but no rich brown. I think I'll wait on this one til I make my next 65 mile trip to the quilt shop. Thank you!!

Very pretty I think the cream would be very pretty for the border. As for quilting no idea but stitch in the ditch for me.

What a beautiful job. It came out great.
I favor the all over continuous quilting. That is what I am going to be doing on Danbury, when it is done. There are so many wonderful shapes out there, It takes me a while to decide what to put on them.
