Just finished the wagon wheels quilt top! I'm not sure whether I should add another border (tan) or not, also how would you have this quilted? Any input would sure help. Thanks. Suzi :)

Oh my, Suzi -- that's just gorgeous!!

And I think I would add the borders to give it a more rounded look even though it's just fantastic the way it is!!

As to the quilting -- well, hmmm, I usually just tell my long armer to do whatever she thinks will look nice. This works for me

I really love the colors you chose. I personally like the extra border going around quilts. I would use the burgundy you have going. That would be really sharp - but that is only my opinion. Like art everyone sees things differently...

As far as quilting I'm not sure what to tell you about that. I'm a relatively new quilter and I'm a stippler/design fanatic... I never cared much for the whole in the ditch thing but I know there is a time and place for everything like that!

I wish I had enough burgundy for a whole border - I could do a scrappy border since I have a little of all the colors, any suggestions on scrappy?

Do you have enough for piano keys? That might look good, or HST's? And how about concentric circles for the quilting?

I have enough for piano keys - would I put them all around? or just on top and bottom? I'm leaning toward all the way around with HST's alternating colors, now how big to make them? hmm...

I think it needs just a plain border, wouldn't want to distract from those beautiful wheels.
Can't help with the quilting, only hand quilt here. Even if you just do shadow quilting , you could have a pretty design done in a plain border.
