gcathie--I had printed the photo of your quilt when I was choosing colors--the effect of lights vs darks...and I was wondering--did you use the exact fabrics from the pattern? Thye looked darn close if they weren't. :D I remember you received the pattern from a place you bought fabrics, so maybe that's a yes?
Reproducing fabrics? Nice. |
gcathie......YOU DIDN'T STOP?? OMG!! If it were me, I'd have been there in a heartbeat and then over to her dad's place to see his beautiful flowers. But, not until I had gotten enough love from those babies and MY Rosie!
Karla...another great job!!! Now you are making me bookmark this and add it to my huge long to do list. I love the color choices for both yours and gcathie's!
So is this yours or are you gifting??? Can you see my hands wildly waving??? Gifting!!!! Here!!! Here!!!!  |
Love this quilt!! I love the greens..couldn't see that there were 2 different greens. I love seeing the same quilt in different colors. Their both gorgeous!! Great job
WOW!! Beautiful. Awesome colors, pattern,everything!!!
sandpat--oh gosh you crack me up. This was a "I HAVE to make that" quilt. No plan other than that--which is my usual pattern. My daughter has a second ragged flannel on her request list--but I showed her this and said if I call it "A Walk Through the Arboretum" would she prefer it over a ragged flannel? (She loves hanging out in the arboretum at college.) She said although she loves it, she still wants her ragged. So... since I can't part with this one (sell) just yet... looks like it'll be added to the pile for kids when they get houses.
I giving a little quilt show at Quail Summit next month--so nothing is going to the quilter's until after that. This give me time to finish the next three tops that are on my summer goal list. |
Beautiful quilt! I can't see a difference in the green - it just looks goregeous!
I had to really study the picture to pick out a different shade of green in the sashing and even now I'm not sure. It's lovely. I can see why the pattern spoke to you, it speaks to me as well but I have so many patterns I want to do in the pipeline... Aw what the heck, what's one more? Hmmm did I say that when I adopted my 5th cat as well??
Anyway, it is a wonderful quilt, you did a great job and I too love the fabrics and colors. FF |
Gorgeous--I love those greens

Looks good to me. I like the color combo.

Beautiful job!! I love the colors. Where did you get the fabric that is in the lower left in the second picture? The one that looks like vines. I want some.
I really love this quilt, what wonderful work! Where did you get the pattern? I like the color scheme a lot!
Only God can make something perfect, You came close.
gangles-that was cute.
Actually--the lighter greens in the corners I thought was a great plan not a problem at all--but, ah, there are two wee puckers to keep it from being perfect. And you'll never see those. |
That is a wonderful quilt. I'd like to try that pattern someday too.
You're having a great summer Karla! Enjoy and make some more pretties.
Where did you get the fabric that is in the lower left in the second picture? The one that looks like vines. I want some. Okay--I searched a bit and found this site: http://elmcreek.net/index.php/gallery/fabrics/ Go to Cross Country Quilters to find the fabric--then look at the list of shops that sells them; you can't buy them driectly from this site.... Good luck!! Where did you get the pattern? |
Gorgeous! Love the colors, pattern and your workmanship sure is excellent. Good job.
It looks gorgeous! You did such a great job arranging the two greens it looks like you planned it from the beginning, and they go together very well.
do i see the difference in the greens? noooooo....... i don't happen to have my magnifying glass handy.
it looks like you planned it from the beginning |
Thanks so much for the information.
very nice work i like the colors too :D
FANTASTIC ! WHERE DID YOU GET THE PATTERN? I WOULD LOVE TO MADE ONE
Great fabric selection for this pattern. Soothing....
this is beautiful! With the variety of greens in the border fabric the variation in the lattice greens blends right in. Think Amish quilts and the variety of blacks that are sometimes used; they give the quilt more interest and movement. I'm new on the list....can you tell me the source of this pattern? It like to put it on my "to do" list. Sande |
The pattern is given earlier in the post
I love this quilt! Green is my favorite color, and the green really stands out in this quilt. I can't tell there are different shades of green. It is very pretty.
I'm starting to like green quilts! Beautiful.
The bucket list grows! |
Love the colors and pattern. If the greens are different, they are close enough that they are not noticeable. Great job! 8) 8)
Forgot to ask the name of the pattern! Is this in a book or just a pattern packet??
I love your quilt. The colors are so pretty. They really compliment each other. Great job.
