If you do hand piecing, or any other hand work, it could hold your tools by your favorite chair. I like it. :)

I love the basket, but I really love the thread spool fabric in the first pic.

I have been going to try this technique when I saw it posted on here. I haven't found the cotton clothes line yet. I know I can get the piping at Joann fabrics, but with everything else on my list, I haven't gotten any yet. But it is on my list!!

Good luck on the one you are working on now...............post pictures when done.

Barb

I used 100% cotton clothesline. and got mine at walmart.

Thanks, me too! They are my curtains I made a few years ago.

I have been making them for 2 yrs and it is very additive.I start with a 7 or 8 inch base line and make an oval about 5 to 6 inches wide and directly go to as far up as u can and keep rotating.
I make coaster, placemats, purses ,coin bowls and regular bowls. I use 2yds of line for coasters and 3yds for coin bowls. Nice way to use small pieces of leftover line.

Oh thanks for the ideas! I have some left. I was thinking hot pads too to set hot dishes on. :-)

Wonky or not, I like it. Would make a great basket to hold snippets or scraps for your next scrappy, or the tools idea was good.
I think I will have to put this on my to do list. It is getting much longer since being on this board. Imagine that!

I like it....very useful...our cats would instantly claim it....It's a fight round here to keep fur people out of baskets, bags...or anything remotely cat sized and cozy!
