Wavy quilt finally finished

Started this some time ago but only just managed to finish it. I was trying to use up some stash but it's hardly made a dent in it!
Will just have to make some more quilts,

I've been eyeing this particular quilt pattern; yours is so appealing! Talk to us about doing the curvy cuts and sewing them together.

Beautiful! I also was wondering about the difficulty of sewing the curves.

northern lass 05-12-2013 01:03 PM

This quilt was so easy to make.
I used a Creative Grids 'Curves for squares' ruler. With this ruler you can make from 5" - 10" blocks.
It's no more difficult than putting together a Drunkards path block. So long as you mark at strategic intervals both the halves you are going to put together so you can match and pin them together before sewing, you shouldn't have any trouble. There's lots of different ways you can assemble the pattern which is fun.

Very nice! Isn't it funny how those quilt scraps breed when left in a room by themselves!

IngeMK 05-12-2013 01:44 PM

I love it!

Diane007 05-12-2013 02:31 PM

Marilynsue 05-12-2013 03:11 PM

Where did you find the ruler?

ube quilting 05-12-2013 03:26 PM

I have always liked that wave pattern. Yours is cool. Isn't funny how those 'stash buster' patterns never make a dent in our stash.:D
peace

Very pretty quilt and love all your batiks.

dunster 05-12-2013 05:32 PM

What a beautiful pattern, and gorgeous colors. When I saw "wavy" I thought it would be a problem with the borders! So glad the waves are in the design instead.

I think when I "stir around" in mine, they get oxygen and create more!

debcavan 05-12-2013 05:38 PM

Oh is that pretty. How unusual with the curves.
