We have had a lot of snow

This has been a snowy cold winter here in South Jersey - spent lots of time at the sewing machine. Love using panels to make a quilt. It's kind of cheating, but they are pretty and go so quickly. These were donated to a local hospice.

MissSongbird 03-13-2014 03:45 AM

Those are some beautiful panel quilts. I especially like the tiger and horse one (but that's mainly because I love animals). Nice work!

Homespun 03-13-2014 04:09 AM

Beautiful panels...the recipients will be thrilled to get them.

gabeway 03-13-2014 04:37 AM

You do great work!

NJ Quilter 03-13-2014 04:38 AM

Very nice quilts. Was in your area just last weekend. We still have snow piles here in Central Jersey. Most have cleared up but not all of them, despite the spring-like temps of the last couple of days.

jennieb 03-13-2014 04:44 AM

Hey, MissSongbird,
I, too, am from NWOhio. Wasn't yesterday crazy?! Hope you stayed safe and warm. Today, beautiful sunshine.

Your panel quilts are beautiful and it's wonderful of you to donate them to hospice. They will be appreciated!

Jackie Spencer 03-13-2014 05:24 AM

Beautiful quilts for a wonderful cause!

Pennyquilter88 03-13-2014 05:29 AM

Those are great and yes, panels go faster so you can make more charity quilts. Our club makes them for the
Veteran's hospital but I think Hospice is a good idea too.

nunnyJo 03-13-2014 05:46 AM

beautiful quilts

deltadawn 03-13-2014 06:26 AM

Beautiful quilts . I'm sure the recipients won't see them as cheating ...... they will cherish them for being beautiful quilts -that someone gave their time freely to make .

PenniF 03-13-2014 06:26 AM

Love them also.

Super quilts and I don't think using them is cheating. They still had to be pieced together with the backing and borders.

Another A + for hospice quilts. ...

Tweety2911 03-13-2014 06:28 PM

Kudo's to you for making these panels into such lovely quilts and for such a worthy cause! Sure to be a comfort to many, Bless you for your generosity!

nanacc 03-13-2014 06:29 PM

Beautiful panel quilts!!! Definitely not cheating! First is my favorite......Have always LOVED tigers!!

Annz 03-13-2014 08:30 PM

Wow wow wow

cathyvv 03-13-2014 08:31 PM

The quilts are wonderful. As a frequent panel user, I can tell you it's not cheating. A panel is just another piece of fabric, and each panel presents it's own unique design and fabric decisions. I also am a big fan of multiple borders to build and enhance the panel, so really like these.

The folks who receive these quilts will be thrilled to get them and their lives will be brightened by their presence.

Retired Fire Chief 03-14-2014 03:06 AM

They are very, very nice. Bless you for your donations to people who need comfort.

twinkie 03-14-2014 03:23 AM

I agree with you. I think it is a great way to get the donation quilts done quickly. Love your generosity.

oldquilter 03-14-2014 03:38 AM

I love panels, too. Your quilts are extra pretty.

2manyhobbies 03-14-2014 03:47 AM

This is exactly why I don't mind winter. But you accomplished far more than I did.

Kris P 03-14-2014 03:56 AM

I love, love, love the horse quilt. My daughters would go nuts! Great work.

quilterpurpledog 03-14-2014 04:36 AM

We have had 28 feet of snow Summit county this year (so far). Some of it will be with us in July I am sure. You certainly made some lovely panel quilts. They are really eye catching. I especially like the one with the train.

cpcarolyn 03-14-2014 05:49 AM

JoyjoyMarie 03-14-2014 06:23 AM

Terrific quilts, and for a good cause too - I've been using the weather to my quilting advantage, too - finishing a tough UFO from several years back.

Chis2 03-14-2014 08:00 AM

wraez 03-14-2014 08:35 AM
