My friend came with a quilt that her boyfriends family was going to throw away(they actually had it in a bag by the curb and they brought it here). I've never put a whole quilt on the longarm frame before and I had my doubts on how well it would work. The quilt was hand tied and done a very long time ago. They wanted to keep the quilt in tact as much as possible. So here it is after it has been quilted, washed, and hung out to dry. It looks so much better than when I first seen it. I wish I would have taken a picture of the before.

Ya, so glad it didn't go in the garbage. It does still have a couple of the little rips in it that I could fix quilting it, but that can be done by hand. I'll let my friend do that part. :)

Too cuddly! I have several very old (antique) quilts and quilt tops that I love. There is something about them that calls out to be saved, perhaps a connection between generations?

Good for you saving that quilt, you did a good job. Its too bad people don't realize the importance of saving antiques. On occasion, I have found crocheted blankets at garage sales and have bought and used them for my grandchildren. I just felt bad leaving them there.
