Made this from the book Beyond Neutral by John Q. Adams. Measures 72 by 84. It reminds me of a school of fish so I quilted with wavy lines. I didn't notice till I took a pic that there is a boo boo, thinking on if I want to fix it or just leave it as I is. Regardless, I really love how it turned out, was really easy pattern.

Leave it. It took me awhile to locate it. At a glance or by a non-critic it would never be seen.

I too see a school of fishes. Nicely done on a black background. Those colors sure do pop!

Love how the colors pop with the black background. If any one says anything just say it was "Amish" inspired. Nothing is perfect. Not only that if it gets lost or stolen, it's one way to identify.

Love the bold colors, and I also had to look a long time to find the unique fish. Doesn't really jump out at you.

I would leave it. The colors are so vibrant and the quilt pattern keeps your eyes moving so no one other than a quilter would ever notice such a tiny boo boo. After you mentioned the pattern reminded you of a school of fish, I thought about finding Nemo.

Very lovely quilt. I would leave it. I just faced the same problem. I opted to leave it.

It took me a little while to find the mistake....it wouldn't be a problem with me. Two of my favorite quilts that I've made have a mistake.....one really noticeable, and the other only I know it's there. Remember that only God is perfect.

Lovely quilt, once you get to this stage I wouldn't worry about changing a thing! Actually even before I quilted it if I found a design opportunity I would leave it as is.

It looks good and breaks up the expected pattern...adds some interest over and above the main piece.

Not everyone is the same in any species, so just consider your fish unique and special. Definitely not evident at first, or second glance. Love it.

You did a really great job! No one is going to notice your mistake...don't make a bigger mess trying to fix such a tiny error. Call it creative license! LOL

The boobo just keeps one humble. The bright colors are so happy and make me feel good just looking at it. You made a beautiful quilt.

That is not a mistake - it is your special design element!!!! I agree that it has the feel of a school of fish.

I guess I'm the odd man out! I would fix it if that were possible. Now that you know it is there, that is the first place you will look, and it takes away from the all-over optical illusion. Sorry!
The quilt is way too beautiful to leave that. An applique of the correct piece over that spot won't be noticed.

That's really cool. Took me a long time to find the mistake. I normally opt to fix them when possible. But this one seems to add a bit of whimsy.

Leave it in. Does not detract from the quilt and is a conversation starter.

I had to look very hard to find the "boo boo". I would leave it and if people comment, laugh and say "oh....it's a school of fish ....with a flying one!".

Just tell any critics that that lone fish was in a hurry to get to his destination.

I think it is an awesome quilt.....just as it is!
