Wow, great job! The fussy cut teddies in the center are the perfect touch. So, I guess they were right, Stress Free Paper Piecing!

SandyinZ4 06-26-2010 05:07 AM

That is just wonderful.

It does take a while for you to wrap your mind around the backwardness of paper piecing. Yours looks great

Draw a circle on the back of the fabric, right sides together and stitch the complete circle. Trim and cut a small slit in only 1 of the pieces of fabric and turn. Press and stitch it to the center of the dresden.

You can see the complete top on page 3.

I'd say you got the hang of it, big time! What a beautiful quilt and lucky little one who receives it. :-) Beautiful work.

Why be petrified??? It's only a pc. of fabric. You're in charge...........It's really a fun process & I feel like it's a no brainer since you're told where to put ea. pc. Try it. If your first try doesn't look right, just toss it & try again.

It's fun to learn something new and it opens up many doors for you...

I love to do pp. When I find a pattern I like I try to figure out how to pp it (so much easier)! I really like this plate but don't really want to buy the book. What is the finished size of the block? Could you possibly measure 1 of the fans for me so I could make my own template? I have looked everywhere for 1 but don't want the 1 with so many fans.
Thanks...
