Great idea using jeans for binding. It will really hold up well to 'boy usage' and so will last for a very long time. Good thing to keep grandma close while growing up.

I am empathetic about the loss of your sister. I also lost my only sister to cancer. Though it has been 22 years, I still miss her. I think the making of memory quilts for her grandchildren will bring peace and hopefully inner joy. Your sister would have loved your generosity. Just think about one day at a time-that is all God gives you in your walk of life.
