I love it .. I have that same pattern and have used it over and over. I may have to do one for my Miss Daisy
That is soooooo cute. May we use your idea? I think some of my dogs would love it.
he is one little "hug/a/muffin".....love the coat, I have a pattern I got on line but haven't done it yet...good job
Your puppy is so handsome in his Christmas duds. It looks nice and warm and he looks like he knows how cute he looks.
great "outfit" and precious pup!
Adorable - both the dog and the coat!
That is just too cute!
Well, aint he just the cutest thing! He'll be the hit of the party!
My daughter thinks I need to make her super-energetic Jack-Rat Terrior a coat. A friend traced one of her dogs coats for me to use as a pattern, but it is too small and that hyper, squirmy, little thing will not hold still enough for me to even get any measurements. Anyone know a good source for patterns?

Look at that Lil ham, he seems to be quite happy with his new coat!!!
Great idea!!!! My 2# yorkie would love one. Guess I best get busy :)
I just love toby - love pom's - i have a party pom sadie - she is my third
my last was 15 1/2 yo sadie goes everywhere with me - she has three coats of hair so a coat she does not need- wish she did would have to make one then |

very elegant indeed and he knows it!
That is so cute. My daughter has a little black pom, she would look so cute in that. Did you just make up the pattern yourself?

My furbabies love their clothes. My Maltese, Chloe, runs to their wardrobe when she hears me pick up the car keys. She knows keys mean car, which means a trip out into the real world. Yours looks like he knows he's in high fashion duds! Great job.

Kudos to your family for adopting a 14 year old animal. Looks like he found a wonderful home. And my, does he ever look handsome in he Christmas coat. He's beautifully groomed and looks quite content.

A really cool looking coat for a handsome fellow.
I love it! I want one for my Lucy. At least she would not have the manhood problem. I wonder if I could make one as cute as yours.
Toby 'knows' just how handsome he is, doesn't he? :0) Our two dogs and two cats are rescues. I've convinced myself that rescues show extra gratitude for being given a forever home.
Love the coat what a fortunate Toby to have you for his forever home! |
OMG! This is so cute and he is such a good model!
First of all I LOVE your pom, TobyBean. We have a pom that is the same sable color that yours is, she is the best princess around! The jacket you made him is so cute. I guess it's time I try to make one.
That is so stinkin cute!
OMG he is just adorable. I am jealous because I can't make these coats ):

Thanks everyone for your thoughtful words and gushing over my Toby Bean! He eats up the attention! If anyone is interested in the pattern, please PM me. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to sell the pattern in a quilt shop so I am in the process of drawing up the pattern and instructions.
too cute

Looks like he loves having his picture taken!!!

This is my Toby Bean. We adopted him last March from a rescue. He is 14 yo and just a spit fire! (He definately has Pom-a-tude!) I have almost all of my Christmas sewing finished and decided I had time to play a little bit. I decided to make Toby a Christmas coat that he can wear when he goes to Grammy's on Christmas. I fussy cut some 2 1/2" squares from holiday fabrics, sewed them together and then laid my pattern on my "created" fabric and cut it out. Before I cut out the coat, I made a "quilt" sandwich using 1 layer of W&N and the green striped backing fabric and then cross hatched quilted it. I think he looks very handsome!
