I vote for the first, simple boarder, to. Really makes all your work pop!
I agree with the other ladies...the simple border is super. But I also like the idea of a few prairie points to accent the colors in the bargello. Great quilt and colors.

I like the first option - plain & simple, does not detract from the bargello pattern. I love the quilt, the colours are so calming.
I agree the first one...but, the prarie points really caught my attention also. Decisions can be so confusing. Good luck and share what you decide.

I like the first one - your bargello is gorgeous and it won't steal the spotlight.
I like # 5 Its just enough not to detract from the actual quilt!
I like the first one best, too!
The first one is perfect!!
ANOTHER VOTE FOR #1
I also like the first one. Simple border to not take away from the beautiful quilt.
I'd go with the drk border, I think it sets the batgello better. , and I'd use just the dark, no light or strips.
I agree with Jeanann - just the dark green border so it doesn't distract from the beautiful quilt.
I really like your quilt, beautiful! I like you darK borders with the strip in-between. I don't think it will be distracting I think it will draw you in to look longer at the quilt. Can't wait to see you final choice.
Simple is best in this situation - JMHO.
I like the first one.

I like the second picture except I would turn the corner stones around so that the blue is on the tip of the corner.

just simple border
I like the 1st best then the 2nd.
I like the simple border, it doesn't take away from the quilt.
I really like the last one and the next to last the best. wonderful job.
Dark border and thin strip of bargello between - your second to last pic. This is what I did with mine http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-95466-1.htm

I really like the first one. It compliments the bargello without taking from it.

I like the simple border so it doesn't take away from your beautiful quilt.
Your quilt is beautiful! I vote for the first one, but I also like the one with points in the border.
I love the looks of the one with the narrow strip of bargello in between the two dark borders.
Beautiful quilt! |
I like the first one, the simplicity of the border lets the bargello shine!
I like the first one ... does not take away from the bargello...
1st one is lovely and simple. Shows off the quilt beautifully
I personally like the corner stones.
Beautiful quilt! You didn't show this, but what about a simple narrow dark border, then a simple very narrow light border, then a simple wide border?
I think dark against the bargello would set it off more. I vote for nothing complicated whatever you do. Show us pics when it is done! |
First of all, this is a lovely quilt, even seeing just part of it. Think I'd vote for the first border choice but suspect all would be lovely. My thought is that the others might compete with the center you've created.
I think just the dark green border. It sets off all of those light colors. Beautiful color choices.
Like the simple plain border that highlights the pieced quilt. Wouldn't want anything to distract from the quilt.
