each piece is 13 1/2" x 8 1/2". very pretty prints. I don't know what to make with them. Some nice lady at a yard sale gave them to me.

SWEETPEACHES 06-30-2012 06:22 PM

Wow. I would love to have those. I'd make bags!

sassy granny 06-30-2012 06:22 PM

Tote bags and purses.

paulettepoe 06-30-2012 06:23 PM

tote bags, purses and pillows?

pdcakm 06-30-2012 06:25 PM

i got a lot of those samples from a friend and just pieced them together. they made up into great bags. i think they would also work for place mats or table runners.

Dolphyngyrl 06-30-2012 06:37 PM

bags would be my choice

Diane007 06-30-2012 06:41 PM

yep tote bags

Aunt Janey 06-30-2012 07:21 PM

Bags sound great. You could sew them together and make a jacket (it would be bright but also would be good and warm)

Jackie Spencer 06-30-2012 07:58 PM

I have about 20 of those and I use them in my crazy quilting. They are so beautiful.

mighty 06-30-2012 08:19 PM

I think I would make bags.

Pickles 06-30-2012 08:36 PM

I'd think they would be a perfect size for making some needle carry cases. They sure are pretty.

TeresaS 06-30-2012 08:38 PM

I vote for tote bags

Lori S 06-30-2012 08:43 PM

If they are cotton make potholders , or at least the backs of potholders.

bjeriann 06-30-2012 09:00 PM

I think the bags win this round.

nana pat 06-30-2012 11:20 PM

mug rugs, tote bags,

I am making a 2 throws for winter. If it is cotton it will wash well. I usually air dry so it does not shrink or loose its sheen. It is easy to sew on also. Totes, Purses, etc. I have also made from these samples. You can applique some also. The flowers that you use for applique are larger than regular quilters cotton but they are bright and beautiful. Enjoy your new fabric remnants.

Wallets too

buddy'smom 07-01-2012 02:39 AM

You can also make a quilt for you couch, I made one several years ago and turned out awesome. They work up fast and very warm as well.

dallen4350 07-01-2012 03:39 AM

I had some upholstery fabric and I made the suggested tote bags, place mats, etc. But in doing this, I first used it to try out new block patterns and techniques. The result of those trials eventually became the bags and mats.

Just wonderful, I would make purses and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day

We put some together and made lap robes for nursing homes.

Tartan 07-01-2012 05:19 AM

They would make nice Ipad cases. Your could use them for the dress form pin cushions. Awallet or credit card case would be pretty. They would make nice knitting needle or crochet hook cases too. Have fun!

moreland 07-01-2012 05:42 AM

My sister and I made a beautiful king size bedspread with samples like these. We just did a patchwork and it turned out very pretty.

If I can manage pictures, here are some bags I have made with upholstery samples. I have also used them to make lap robes for nursing home patients.

MarshaEIEIO 07-01-2012 06:48 AM

Those are so fun to get when people toss samples, piece them together into nice rectangles, put a backing and tie them, with or without batting, and make yourself a cute throw rug ! And I love the above ideas of making bags too, and these would make good strong dog beds/cat rugs too!

May in Jersey 07-01-2012 06:54 AM

You could also sew squares together for a quilt. Since they are heavier than the cotton we use it wouldn't need any batting, just backing.

unicorn53 07-01-2012 06:57 AM

You could also make so,e neat rug mugs or place mats or make sets.

mom dusty 07-01-2012 07:00 AM

My friend and I received some of these samples and made a bed caddy to keep your tv. remote, glasses, medicines etc.
We donated them to our church picnic and they sold them for money to run our school system. A flap is made to fit between the box spring and mattress. This anchors it. The pockets hang free.

MisDixie 07-01-2012 07:07 AM

I put blocks like that into a demin rag quilt. Loved the look. I squared up the block to the narrowest width.

nativetexan 07-01-2012 07:11 AM

oh i'd make a large quilt showing off those. just cut all the same size and sew. I made pieced blks out of decorator fabrics. I would have preferred some like yours.

chickadeee55 07-01-2012 07:43 AM

You could use it for throw pillows on your sofa, or big floor pillows for the kids when watching TV.

They are 76% cotton, 24% poly. Thank you all for your tips. I just can't let them sit there, they are sooo pretty. Gotta make something with them.

jbening 07-01-2012 08:30 AM

They look great. You can also use them for charity quilts.

4EVERquilt 07-01-2012 08:33 AM

Wow!! you all are sewww talented. Thanks a million for all your suggestions. I'm going to get started on some pillows, and go from there

dglvr 07-01-2012 08:36 AM

Wow what a nice lady. I guess I'd have to go along with everyone else and say bags.

QUILTNMO 07-01-2012 08:52 AM

they make great bags!!!

lollygagging 07-01-2012 09:51 AM

Jackets, place mats, table runners, totes, and on and on and on!! Lucky you. Thanks for sharing.

Helen S 07-01-2012 10:00 AM

How about quilted wall hangings?

alfosa421 07-01-2012 10:53 AM

definitely bags-google upholstery remnant projects and see what happens. There is a lady here in Pittsburgh that sells that by the bag along with her other items. The only negative is if there is a manufacturers label glued to it, it is very difficult to remove

There is a glued label on each one, i tried taking one off and it removed very easily, but I do know what you mean, I have had some before that were diffucult to remove.
