A friend gave me a beautiful pink bed jacket that is made from chenille... I treasure it..

Does it have any value? Trying to decide if I should use it, and if so how to make sure I preserve it.

I have since posting this been told that there is another bedspread exactly like this one for sale online. The link is http://www.antiquequilts.biz/199orLessPg2.htm
It still does NOT have any information on era or who made it, ect. So keep the info coming! Thank you everyone, this is a new area of interest for me and has been great to have such kind help and advice!

Yes, it's a candlewick bedspread. Chenille here is material with an all-over pile, an effect similar to velvet, but made with a velvety cord, and more common on tablecloths.
