I see bamboo and wild animals in the jungle.

First impression was a Gees Bend quilt. Love it! Striking, great colors
Interesting that you mentioned Gee's Bend. I lived in Alabama for a few years. I read about Gee's Bend quilts. I am enthralled by the organic feel about their quilts too. |
FOREST. looks cool
Thank you everyone for your interpretations. It is amazing to see that the same image evokes so many different feelings and interpretations.
I don't know if I could call this an art quilt, but art/beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Thanks again for you encouraging words:) I will try to post more. I hope there is no rule about posting older quilts which I made some time back. |

it's lovely regardless of the image intended; I think it is a super quilt and a great way to use up fabric without enough to do a whole quilt -
I see a beautiful forest
Earth, vegetation, plants and especially trees.
Before I saw your revealing post, I saw a forest, from inside a building looking out thru the window. The horizontal lines were the window panes. I was close.
Bookshelf for me too...cool quilt!
First, I *adore* this! The colors are gorgeous. I see bamboo trees in a jungle.
I *love* the idea of doing a quilt of books! I work for an author, and her books come in candy-shop colors. I might just use my bookshelf as inspiration for my next design!
Looks like fabric stash on shelves.

That's the beauty of abstract art--it says all kinds of things to each person! I LOVE THE QUILT!

Haha... Then I'll have to cut the quilt up!! :D I see a bargello quilt in your avatar? It's too small to see clearly. I love bargello quilts. They are amazing:) |

Darn, I was happily standing on a city sidewalk happily looking through an old fence at another world on the other side! Bamboo would have the tops getting smaller quicker (not that anyone asked for my opinion... maybe sour apples because you ruined my fantasy!!!!) hmmmm, maybe quirking it this way or that is what abstract art is all about. It can be what you need it to be. Some is good and can be quirked many ways, and some is without the lines/colors/movement that would allow you to see so much. Myself, I went into a big museum and saw a huge yellowish canvas with a postage stamp size square in a lower corner. Left me cold. Your quilt excited me. I won't say anything more about the fact that YOU didn't understand it was looking through an old fence into "another" world!

My first quilt post here:) I completed this in April. I have an image in mind when I did this. I wonder if it is protrayed across. What do you see in this quilt? Comments are welcome! |
Scrappy quilt!
Waving strips.
I see a fabric stash, very colourful, very different.
My first thought was "empty scrap basket in a neat sewing room!" That is the practical side of me. The whimsical side said, "grasses though a rail fence".
It is a very lovely quilt. I am quite sure that your desired effect is there, particularly when you see the entire quilt spread out on a bed or hanging on a wall. With my weird sense of imagination I can see curtains being pulled to shut out the day or opened up to welcome the daylight.
Without looking at anyone else's response, I see a bookshelf with lot's of books! This is a beautiful quilt.
Bamboo - a field of it.
well i see books also and love u`r colors

Tall grass through a rail fence.. if I have to "see" anything... I just love the colors and movement. It's a great quilt.
The quilt is fantasic.....I love the color and movement. I can't really see anything myself.....but like all the answers.
Stalks of grass
A yard with plants and grasses.....for such a scrappy quilt, it is peaceful....not chaotic to me.....In fact, the more I look at it, the more I like it....:) What did you want to accomplish? I hope that in your mind, you did just that!
I see a beautiful quilt-your first-Congrats-you did a beautiful job-I see reeds swaying in the breeze of my favorite fishing hole-Quiet, Peacefully flowing-Green for nature
