The "leaks" will be perfect for this quilt. You've done a great job, now let's see it quilted!

earthwalker 02-12-2010 08:41 PM

If you leave out the leaks...you could call it Plumbers Dream...though maybe if you put them in, it would be better, their eyes would light up at the hourly rate they would charge!

SewExtremeSeams 02-12-2010 08:43 PM

Great design! Your quilt looks like it would be something a boy/man might appreciate also. I have never seen that pattern before. Thank you for sharing.

oksewglad 02-12-2010 08:43 PM

Very clever!

SewExtremeSeams 02-12-2010 08:52 PM

I agree with others, you should publish your pattern.

Pickles 02-12-2010 09:30 PM

So awesome, and I'm sure a ton of work also, you did a great job designing it and sewing it.

Katrine 02-12-2010 09:58 PM

What a great design, its fascinating. I agree with others - you definitely should publish it.

My father in law is a plumber... I think I need to add this to my to do list...
Now to see if I can find that pattern... man that is such a great quilt!!

Yarn or Fabric 02-14-2010 05:18 AM

Okay... I just read all 5 pages of this thread and am bummed - no pattern for me to find! But I am so in awe of your planning of this quilt - it really is fantastic!

I do hope you publish it so those of us with plumbers in the family can make a quilt soon!!

You do not have to be bummed. I will let you have a copy of my pattern. Just send me a private message with your address.

Quilt4u 02-14-2010 06:56 AM

Love it That design would be perfect for my grandson.

mpspeedy 02-14-2010 10:19 AM

Great design and your workmanship is also great. Make sure you show it to us again after it is quilted.

SewExtremeSeams 02-14-2010 12:48 PM

Crafty Deb: how does one send another a private message on this site? Always wanted to know. Thanks, Linda

Click on the person's name, over by their avatar (picture) a screen will come up with information on it about that person, and also a PM place to send private messages. <wave>

SewExtremeSeams 02-14-2010 01:10 PM

Omak! Another Washingtonian! Great. When I clicked send pm and wrote my message it showed up on this link. What I am wanting to know is how to privately contact someone so we can exchange private email addresses. Is that possible?

If you click on a person's name, it brings up all their information. In that section it will have the letters PM in blue. If you click on that, you will be in the section to write to just one person that you want to talk to.

I just sent you a PM ... it should be in your email box right now .. you may have to click on send/receive in your private email program, which is where you receive notifications of responses to your posting on this thread.

That is what I forgot to mention ... click on the blue PM in the screen that comes up as a result of clicking on the person's name that is above their avatar. <wave>
