What do you think I should quilt this quilt in. I am leaning towards a flower with white thread. The flower is elligant looking. What do you all think. I made this for a customer and I want it to awe them.

I have lots of them and can make up my own quilting patterns but the flower is the most elligant that I have right now. Any sugestions of anything other than a flower is welcome. Just trying to get ideas before I quilt it.

Have you decided how? As far as placement of design? It's going to look beautiful! We all have a way of over thinking projects. You'll do fine!!! |

Your quilt is wonderful, I love the white fabrics U used.
Sorry, I can't help U with the quilting design, that's one of my problems, I never can decide on what design to use on my different tops. I tried reading book on this subject, that didn't help me. Plus I am not great at machine qquilting. Several of my quilts I take to a local quilt shop to have them quilted. Hoping that Santa will bring me a long arm !!!!!! |
How about a leaf pattern.
If the flower isn't too big it might work. Can you try the design on a scrap block of these fabrics to see what the flower design might look like. |

Can't give advice as to the quilting but I wanted to tell you that's a beautiful quilt.

Flowers are elegant, but my thinking is that feathers would be beautiful. (Love the bed, too!)

I've quilted these with two border designs and alternated them across the quilt top on the diagonal.

Beautiful, I would just do FMQ, about how I quilt all my quilts.

Feathers in the white diagonals and straight lines int the other area on an angle. Check a Judy Martin book. She shows fabulous quilting.

Depends on what your flower looks like :D I'd vote for the feathers in running in the diagonal white areas too, opposite direction in the colored diagonal logs.
Do you have any quilt preview paper...the kind you draw on with a dry erase marker? You can try them out that way. |
I think the quilt is beautiful and the bed too! Flowers would be a nice addition; and cannot wait to see the finished product.

My choice would be feathers but you haven't given us a taste of what your flower looks like. It might be just the shot.
