Saturday I watched a gal do a neat block with scraps. She took a square. added strips around it to frame it, then layed a bigger template down and cut at an angel. She said you can get different looks by just turning the template.
I tried 4 blocks. Do they look ok? be honest please. :D Should I keep going? :?: |
Absolutely, keep going. That will look great.
|
I like them!!! Looks like fun. A good way to use up scraps?
|
I think they look fun. I might set them with a solid sashing if they were mine... just to let each shine. But it you want a crazy quilt look then setting them next to each other will do that. I LOVE scrappy looking quilts. They're interesting!

I've seen several patterns like that in my online shopping and in magazines. I liked it best with sashing between. Great way to use up scraps!
|
Wonderful. I love the fact that you don't need to be worried about measurements. Keep going
|
I think they look great. I make alot of scrap quilts. I am horrible at color coordinating fabric. With scrap quilts you don't have to worry about it. lol

Looks really good Bev, want to see more as you get them done!!!

Most definitely you should keep going. They're going to make a great scrap quilt. And, you've given me a great idea for using some fabric I have. I didn't want to just put strips around the pre-printed little squares, but putting wonky strips like these around them would be just the perfect look. Thanks for sharing your blocks!
|
Bev we must sort of think alike. Look at what i downloaded just a little while ago. I want to try the same style quilt as you are making. By the way, yes you should keep going. Going to be very pretty and a good use of using of scraps so we can buy more fabric.

Looking good Bev--I think it'd be a wonderful way to use up scraps and get a really cheery quilt.
