I think your borders are perfect! Lucky baby girl!

KiwiQuilter 05-19-2010 10:15 PM

Love it - it looks beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing.

mrs. fitz 05-20-2010 07:14 AM

Green first, then the pink. That way the pink is softer and doesn't dominate and IMO the fabrics in the pinwheel show up better.

ranger 05-20-2010 07:30 AM

[quote=sueisallaboutquilts]Such a pretty quilt- I think the pink would make the quilt pop more than the green, in other words- pink border, then green for the outer one.
Great job!!!!! :D[/quote

I agree. Lovely quilt...I've always liked pinwheels.

amma 05-20-2010 04:26 PM

Beautiful quilt and border choices :D:D:D

sewnsewer2 05-20-2010 04:46 PM

I like it!

littlehud 05-20-2010 07:11 PM

That is a beautiful quilt and the borders are perfect. What a lucky little girl. Great job and thanks for sharing.

theresse 05-20-2010 08:16 PM

I like the green then the pink. you did good

janulka 05-21-2010 01:16 AM

The green is fine try to add white stripe toit, it will be softer and lighter. And after that not very wide stripe of pink. There can be some small block in the corners from all those fabrics you have used on the top. I am sorry for my English I am not a native speaker. Maybe my advice will help you. I was a teacher of arts for several years.

Peggy 05-21-2010 04:37 AM

This pattern is one of my favorites. You have done a lovely job on the fabrics. Love the borders. The pink will make the pinks really "pop."

jelly roll 05-21-2010 04:46 AM

Love the boarders.

damaquilts 05-21-2010 05:11 AM

I vote for just the way it is.

ppquilter 05-21-2010 06:08 AM

Its beautiful..........one lucky baby

Cathie_R 05-21-2010 06:13 AM

I always use the darker color for the outside border. It draws your eye into the center. Narrow light green border then wider dark pink.

Dorothy of Kansas 05-21-2010 06:18 AM

I think they look great together. You have a good eye for color choices.

iltoaz 05-21-2010 06:37 AM

Beautiful and I like the narrow green with the wider pink border. Please let us see when you decide.

diannemc 05-21-2010 08:24 AM

Ya'll are so sweet! Thanks!!

Elisabrat 05-21-2010 08:30 AM

Love them and remember if they get a bit bigger and are hanging onto their "blankie/Blanky" they need those darker colors, imagine all those schmooky fingers .. less washing. My own children of course never had schmooky fingers not once ever.. and their quilts always stayed bright white and perfect. I was just thinking someone elses babies might not be as clean :) The brighter the color the happier the baby .. they love those colors. Great job!

sltiffee 05-21-2010 10:18 AM

YES That POPS

quiltluvr 05-21-2010 10:34 AM

I'm totally drawn to it just the way it is.

kacy 49 05-21-2010 01:05 PM

I think you should use both of them. They are just perfect.

daisylady 05-21-2010 01:09 PM

I think using both colors will be a great finish..... go for it....

nanawdeb 05-21-2010 01:14 PM

I agree with this one.

nanawdeb 05-21-2010 01:14 PM

I agree with daisylady on this one.

Shorebird 05-21-2010 01:18 PM

LOVE IT!! ith borders just in that order.........Pink on the outside.

cowgirl 05-21-2010 01:50 PM

I love the borders just the way you have it. Love the soft green and pink together. Really like the pink.

quilterj 05-21-2010 02:12 PM

Woooo I love your colors.

lazyquilter 05-21-2010 02:18 PM

love the deep pink first and then the green. IF you have time, let them sit on the table for maybe an extra day. I have to let it jell for a bit before I make a final decision. Even if it means folding the two color sequence in several different colors on several parts of the quilt. WE all have our own personal POP colors, but you have to make the decision. So, let it sit a while unless you're under the gun. And since you didnt show the backing, make sure the last border will play nie with the binding. I absolutely LOVE the quilt. Beautiful job.

SandyMac 05-21-2010 02:57 PM

I really like them great color chioces :-D

JCL in FL 05-21-2010 02:58 PM

I'd use the green and pink but I'd make the pink closer to 3" and bind it with that also.

beachlady 05-21-2010 03:12 PM

I like both colors and I think either order would look nice.

Quiltylady 05-21-2010 03:54 PM

How about reversing the green with the pink and making a scallop border?

brushandthimble 05-21-2010 04:09 PM

I like two borders, I explain it my students; look at the quilt as a picture, the inner border is the matting and the second is the frame.
Beautiful job on the pinwheels, I love them. I like to use stripe fabrics or a geometric print for my bindings.
Please post once you have the borders on.

Kara 05-21-2010 04:11 PM

A resounding "YES" on the borders! It's perfect!
Fabulous job!

hannahsmom 05-21-2010 04:26 PM

I think those look great... you did a good job!!

brendadawg 05-21-2010 05:37 PM

Love it, especially the pink and green borders.

Kellie G 05-21-2010 05:44 PM

I am assuming you mean you want to know about using both colors for borders. I think it is the perfect combo and the green has a very soothing affect and then outlined with the pink is perfect. You have to know though, that I strongly favor pink... since it is just about my favorite color!

Sheree from Chicago 05-21-2010 08:23 PM

Beautiful baby quilt!

barbrdunn 05-21-2010 08:43 PM

I think it would be pretty with the pink as the inner border and the green as the outer.
