Okay, let's have some fun. My DDIL gave me some things today that were her mother's once upon a time. I was so excited to get this because it says Singer Sewing Machine Co. on it. As you may or may not know, I have quite a collection of machines and notions. Send my your ideas, and tomorrow when I have time I am going to try this out and post what it is. I have never seen one before, so this should be interesting. Sorry the close up is so blurry but my camera is non focusing any more.

looks like some kind of seam/hem gauge to me.

loopywren 10-16-2010 01:37 PM

Is it a needle threader? for the machine needle

wolfkitty 10-16-2010 01:42 PM

I will guess that it is a hem gauge, for measuring hems.

I would say it is a seam guage of some sort, humm, thanks this is always fun to look at cool antique objects to see what it is

Goodness, could be anything, but looks like it could be some kind of measuring device....

Charlee 10-16-2010 01:52 PM

It's a faggoter...

bjnicholson 10-16-2010 01:52 PM

I say a hem measurer too.

I think it turns drawstrings or narrow things right side out.
