Always wanted a crazy quilt with all the embroidery on it. Making one with my mom. I piece and quilt, she loves to embroidery. Here is first section. What do you think? Is it too much?

That is wonderful. It is neat you are doing it with your Mom. The ones I have seen always have lots of embellishment with embrodery. Keep going, it will be a beautiful quilt.

No, it isn't too much, you can never have enough decoration on a crazy quilt. BTW, it looks great!

I've become a strong believer in 'making memories'. Before my DM passed away I asked her all sorts of questions: favorite color, favorite bird, favorite flower, favorite meal, favorite actor, favorite song, all time favorite movie, etc.

Maybe I should think about adding embroidery of some of those things to the t-shirt quilt I plan to make with her shirts. I could name it "Miss Rose's Crazy T". LOL (Her name was Rose ... favorite flower? nope, carnations!)

You should do it. great idea with the t-shirts. I am enjoying spending time with mom, and it is great watching her go through books and everything for ideas and patterns. I haven't seen her so excited in a long time. Keeps her busy and her mind occupied while creating memories I will have long after she is gone.
