black border and binding, my rule for quilts is to use the darkest color in the quilt for last border and binding, think of it as a picture frame to keep your eye on the quilt. I made one quilt my 4 patch and did not follow "MY rule" and I find my eyes go off on the white part of the binding but stay on in the colored part of the binding. Now this is "MY" rule and I am by no means the QP, to each there own.

I have several Mariner's Compass Stars in those colors with a black background that it will go just perfect with! Other than that... a black border. :lol: |
