This is what I have been working on, I know it is not completed yet, but I figured it was a task for me to get this far. I still have to add a inner sidewalk around the center.
I plan on embellishing each block first then joining them. That way I will know if I need to alter anything for spacing. It's looking wonderful, but when you say you will embellish the blocks before you join them, do you mean with appliqué or embroidery? You wouldn't want to add 3-D items until after it's quilted would you?
