What I made this weekend -

Well, its' not a quilt, but I finally finished these. My son and his girlfriend visited just before 4th of July. When we were out shopping, she found a fat quarter of fabrics that she fell in love with. After they left, I went back and bought the pack and the 1/2 yd piece that matched the print.
After a few pointed questions to her mom, found this purse pattern that I thought she would like. So here are the pictures before I pack it up to send to her tomorrow. The wallet is just figured off the top of my head. I hope she likes them. Thanks for looking. |

They are great! She'll be thrilled. Please tell the source of that purse pattern. It's just what I've been looking for. Someone mentioned Studio Kat, but the two similar ones on that site are not quite it.

The pattern that I used is a current Butterick pattern number 5658. I did change a few things - especially the way I put it together to make things a little easier. The wallet has no pattern. I used my personal wallet as a guide and played it by ear. |
