I have been sewing up tops at a rapid rate. I am accumulating tops so I have a lot to quilt in the fall.
The green one is one I made for my daughter from a Quiltmaker magazine pattern. Before I told her it was for her, she fell in love with another one I just finished, so the green one is still waiting to be adopted. The multi-color batik one is named 'Sunset'. That's the one my daughter has claimed. |
Both are beautiful!

I agree - these are sooo nice! :)

And one more...
I made this one for my oldest son. He caused a great deal of turbulence for my DH and I when he was growing up - Storm at Sea seemed to be the best patten for his quilt. He loves it and I am really happy with it too. |

Thanks for all the nice comments. I will try to answer all questions here.
No, I am not going to handquilt. I don't have the patience. I have a longarm machine. The one called Sunset is my name for it. Each block is just a four patch with sashing around it. The finished block size is 8". The green one is from a pattern named Picket Fence that was in Quiltmaker's All-Time Favorites - Spring '03. I don't have the pattern, just a picture. If you look at the close-up, each block is 3 strips. Each strip is two fabrics sewn diagonally. Then the blocks are set by alternating vertical and horizontal placements. Once I figured it out, the quilt went together pretty quickly. |
