Ok, what do you think?
I cheated and used the template that Rhonda sent to get the pieces cut right. I know, I should have done the kaleidescope, but a bit scared to try that at the moment. Instead, I decided to try this. The corners are a bit wonky....Courtney ironed them on for me while I was on the phone. She did good for her first try, yes? |
Looks great!!!! Love the colors!!! Courtney did good too!! :D
I like it!!! I love the blues and whites..............Reminds me of how blue the pacific ocean is.

Woo Hoo! That is gorgeous!!! p.s. ... what wonky??

Beautiful Terri - looks like a Dutch delft plate!

Oooooh, Terri, I really love that. Those blues are luscious! That would look perfect on my bed when it's done! LOL
And I think I would designate Courtney "Chief Presser". She did a great job! |

Crisp blue and white, classic color combination. Can't wait to see more. I really like your block a lot! :-)
Teri, this turned out great! I love the combo of blues you put together. Would make a great lap quilt. Is that the plan?
That is great! I too love the blue and white, a timeless combination.
Beautiful. I love the butterfly...
this is very pretty and opens up the mind to all the possibilities with different fabs and patterns! :D
I think you have a winner. Love blue and white and especially love Dresden Plates! Great job, Terri. Make more!
My DH is Dutch and this reminds me of things you see in his parents' home. Great Job!

I love the way it turned out! I love the Dresden Plates. It was one of the first appliques I learned when I started to quilt 30 years ago. I have always liked the way they turn out and they are pretty easy to do!
You did a fantastic job on the choice of colors and the placement! Love the ones in the corners. Glad the template worked for you. I always worry that the template is off a little and will cause someone problems when the sections are sewn. It is so irritating if my sections ruffle and I have to go back and fix it! Yours looks like it came out just right! Way to go! The only differance for the Kaleidoscopes is you need to trace the features of the fabric onto the template and then mark the rest of the sections using the tracing to get them all the same. It isn't hard!! It goes together the same way! The fussy cutting may take a little more time but it is worth it! Can't wait to see the next one(s)!! |
it look real good and so does the corner she did good
Thanks everyone! Yes, Rhonda...it worked great!
Maybe I'll try the kaleidascope once I get all my stuff done that NEEDS doing! Ok, posted finished one! :) :) |
Hey I really like that. Great Job!
I love this!! The colors are so pretty!
Just lovely.
Oh man! I wish I could do that. And BLUE too........... Good thing you don't live close. I would be stealing it.
You did a grand job! Those would scare me. Love the colors and keep Courtney working :-)
