A.) it is hard on your body, B.) I can't stand it, I get bored! C.) I agree with DogHouseMom I quit pressing between every step and it is a lot faster. Someone told me this a few months ago- try it! |
I am doing a King/Queen in scrappy blues and white. I cut alot, sew some, cut more, pressed some, cut the rest, sew more, pressed more. I get bored if I try to cut all at once. I also trimmed all the 1/2 square triangle blocks. Again, spread it out. I finally had to get all the units done, as I didn't want any of the same fabrics touching. Ended up with one match in the end. Right now I am working on the borders, but keep changing my mind as to what I want to do.

Well, I'm all over the place! I've made probably 50 or so quilts and have not done two the same! Seriously, I admire those of you who can be so controlled, always doing it the same way. I just do what I want, like, am in the mood for... whatever! No holds barred kind of quilting.
It works for me and my OCD/ADD/ABC ways. I do get them finished, for the most part, and love not "having" to work on a particular project at any given time. I try not to have more than one quilt going at one time.....I'm afraid I'll forget about or lose the others. |
