I'm working on a wall hanging for my 12-year old GD who's birthday is 7/17. It will be approximately 16 x 24". This is what I have done so far.

Here we go. This is in progress. My second wonderful Pam Bono inspired quilt. It will be a wall hanging with three flowers.
I am going to change out the plaid, not happy with it. Her patterns are written for cutting an entire quilt so some calculations are needed to figure out one block. Once that is done they are so much fun to put together.

The planning:

The block:

Enjoy so much seeing all the great creativity going on!

Love Ohio Stars. I would imho, step back and look at this beauty the way it is now. I love love love it without sashing. The stars play so very nice as one complete unit. Stunning!
Whatever you choose, I want to see this when finished.

This is about 40% paper pieced (then there will be the black batik pieces that finish it out as a square). Will have 8 "shields," each with an "explosion" as 2 have here.

I love, love, love all the beautiful projects that are shown in this thread. So much fun to see what others are working on. Almost makes me want to drop what I'm doing and start something new.

Here are the first three rows of my scrappy Grandmother's Flower Garden. I'm having so much fun making this. I have 4 more rows to make then I have to decide whether to hand quilt to machine quilt this beauty.

I am getting ready to take a class with my quilt guild this weekend. It is a class on combining log cabin and patchwork. Then I will have a quilt on my design wall. I am just hand quilting my last quilt, teddy bears for my newest grandson. I am about half done, and wouldn't you know he was born the week. Well grandma will get it done in the next couple of weeks.

What beautiful projects on everyone's wall! loisf, I especially love your Ohio Stars.

I have to first quilt something I'm basting now, but all of a sudden got a yen to make a few blocks of a quilt that I've had the fabric saved for for years. It will be a twin to one I made in the mid-90s. The darkest fabric is actually purple, not black.

I am working on 12 x 12 " calendar quilts right. So, I have no need to put them on my design wall because
each is just one block within it's self.

I am making a jacobs ladder out of scraps. this is qty4 12 inch squares so it measures 24" x 24". The blue is my disappearing marker of the motif for me to hand quilt it. I made 25 of these for a king size quilt. They are all quilted now, so I am now piecing them together, then will bind them. No boarder is planned. Ill let you know how it turns out.

Thanks for the reply and the link. I will enjoy looking through that site! Just an awesome project you have going.

Thanks Watson! Did a little more work on it and discovered I had to "unsew" a couple blocks for wrong fabric. The pattern is by Deb Kerasik from her book Quilts with Attitude. Now am about 50%...

I love this. How big are your blocks and how do you figure length and width when they are on point like that?
