I got the big idea to make my nephew a quilt for his surgery this week. I have done a double wedding ring quilt and this one wore me out much more than that one did!! I don't think I gave myself enough time - but I am getting there. Now I just have to baste and quilt - -- before he goes into surgery on Tuesday
I am posting now because I don't know if I will get a good picture when I give it to him. (please ignore my messy house :) ) |
Your quilt is wonderful and he will have much comfort from receiving it!

I love how you were so precise in making the plaid match up so well! He will really value this his whole life. Great job auntie!
I really like the way that came out. The red really makes everything pop!

That's a very manly quilt. I hope we get to see the quilting once you're finished.best wishes for your nephew.

Great guy quilt! Very nice.
Very manly, great job.
Looks great and there is so much work you are doing great!
An excellent masculine quilt in colours and style. Diagonal quilts are extra challenging so you did well. Hope all goes well with nephew's surgery.
What a terrific quilt, he's going to love it!
Nice job, beautiful gift.
great quilt
You were really thoughtful, and wow, very quick about it! Your nephew will so appreciate the homey touch in the hospital that is just so BLAH.
that turned out great and I really like the narrow red sashing you decided on. Prayers and thoughts that all goes well with his surgery.
(and I'm not seeing any messy!) |
What a lovely gift you've made!
Love the quilt. If you have a messy house it means you spend more time on your quilts. Well, that is a no brainer. I bet most of us are quilting when we should be doing something else. Cleaning comes to mind. Ugh, hate that word.
very nice quilt--manly but lovely! Nice job!
The red in this quilt really makes it pop! It's a beautiful quilt. I'm sure your nephew with love it.
beautiful work!
Very nice manly quilt. You did a wonderful job on it. I am sure your nephew will be comforted by it. Wishing him good luck in his surgery.

Awesome quilt. He will love it.
I really like your quilt and he will too.
What a great masculine quilt, your nephew will surely appreciate your thoughtful gift.
Beautiful job! I think your nephew is going to just love it. Surgery of any kind is frightening especially to a kid. Your quilt will surely bring him comfort. Post a pic after its is quilted if you have time. I would love to see it.
Love that quilt, beautiful colors.
Wonderfully done.
What a great guy quilt.
The quilt is terrific! Love those shirting type fabrics with the red. I've made several "memory" quilts and pillows with shirts, and I am appreciating what others do along these lines.
I agree with tessagin. We see a quilt not a house.
That's a great quilt for a guy. I"m sure he'll love it!
