OK..last Friday I decided that I would match a little piece of fabric that I had leftover from some place mats as a gift for my Grandmother. She had sent me some fabric last summer to make the mats for her..so I thought...oh yeah...I'll do a table runner for her for Christmas! I would have hated to have done this earlier (like when I could realistically get it done without killing myself) as that would take all the pressure and fun out of it, right??

Ok...so I designed it on EQ7 last Friday, ran to the LQS Sat. and got started last Sunday. I sewed the binding down this morning and got it in the mail...whew! Hope she likes it, I don't think I've ever finished a project so quickly :shock:

I saw the pieces before they were sewn together and thought at the time how confusing and difficult it all seemed. It all seems to be worth it because it is simply a fantastic quilt! Thank you for posting the finished quilt. It is beautiful!

Thanks so much...my GM is also a quilter so I think she will be happy..you know how GMs are though...she would be happy with a bucket piled with HST snippets if I told her that I put them in the bucket. LOL...but like to do special things for her.
