This Yo-Yo quilt or coverlet (whatever you want to call it) took me waaaay to long to make......about 10 years!!!! I lost interest when the colors no longer appealed to me but I pushed on and finished it. Yippeeeee!!!!!

SharonAnne 07-13-2010 11:07 PM

Hi Patti, I think it's gorgeous. Now I want one of my own, but not sure I want to wait 10 years, although it's likely that it would take me that long, too. lol. So, congrats on your UFO completion.

doglover 07-13-2010 11:08 PM

Beautiful, how long did that take? I gave up on my yo-yo quilt after 6 yo-yo's.

amazon 07-13-2010 11:08 PM

Very pretty :thumbup:A yo yo quilt/coverlet is on my never ending to do list. Seeing yours makes me want to move it closer to the top.Love the colors

virtualbernie 07-13-2010 11:08 PM

OMG! How many yo yo's are there? That is pretty!

Mountainquilter 07-13-2010 11:11 PM

congrats on finishing up the project and not letting it get the best of you.

Sheila Elaine 07-13-2010 11:11 PM

Patti, this is very pretty & still looks up to date to me. Colors come & go, but all of these are the kind that don't go out of style. Thanks for finishing it so you could show us.

earthwalker 07-13-2010 11:13 PM

Very beautiful and very dainty. Wouldn't have a hope at surviving at our place! Well done for finishing it...and Sheila Elaine is right, the colours do look fresh and up to date.

I really like it. My gram had one when I was young. Hers was a scrappy, no pattern just colors all over.

katier825 07-14-2010 01:19 AM

Wow! That's pretty. And your setting looks like it came from Better Homes & Gardens! Are you a professional photographer?

sewaholic 07-14-2010 01:35 AM

Your photo looks like a picture out of a high end decorating magazine, it is absolutely beautiful. You should submit it to a magazine.

dgmoby 07-14-2010 02:47 AM

Wow! That is very pretty! And your pillows are so sweet and wonderful. What a great amount of time and work went into this project!

Good for you for finishing - regardless of how long it took :) I can take a lesson from your perseverance!

GrannyW5 07-14-2010 02:56 AM

What a lot of work! It is gorgeous, reminds me of the frosting on a fancy cake.

clem55 07-14-2010 04:17 AM

Beautiful, I love it!! My question.... Are the yo-yo's attached to a background fabric, or just to each other? I ask because I saw one once that was just the yo-yos, and it sure didn't lay on the bed like yours is!!LOL

texasquilter2010 07-14-2010 04:40 AM

i bet that took you awhile to finish . its beautiful

donna873 07-14-2010 04:42 AM
