Whew...Now I am getting to the fun part...

 Having only been primarily a baby quilt producer, I got spunky and bought this kit at Houston last year. My daughter was married back in Sept of '11 and loves log cabins. So I am working on this for her and DSIL wedding quilt. Oh my! all the little pieces and organization is truly needed. Discovered many things so far.....my 1/4 is all dependent on the music I am listening to, don't cut your strips while sitting down, they have a tendency to be about 1/4 over which relates to the former problem ( blame it on the music)...and starch is my best friend. Ready to start putting it together....will post again before it goes to the LAQ. Thanks for looking.

Also...when u first posted this and said "..daughter and SIL".. for the life of me I couldn't figure out "SIL". Only thing popped in my brain was Sister-in-law? Glad another poster said Son-in-law. I think I need to go to bed :) |
Beautiful! Love the stars, you don't see them that often in a log cabin.
love the fabrics and the stars just make it sing!
Love it, great job, she will love it too
The kit was prebuilt and at one of the many booths at Houston. They called it Stripes and Bright Stars. Designed by Maria Umhey. As seen in McCall's Quick Quilts June-July 2010, pg 40-42. Got a good day to finish piecing, lots of rain. Then package her up for the trip to my favorite LAQ for her special "Charisma" magic......can't wait :D
