Wholecloth feathered pineapple ... Done!
1 Attachment(s)
For years I have dreamed of having a Wholecloth quilt! Well, that day has finally come with the help of the ladies in my quilting group. This feathered pineapple, which took almost 4 months to complete, is queen size and a natural color. Happy dance here!!

I'm looking closely and this is hand quilted ??? OMG. What a treasure. It looks wonderful.
When I first read this, I thought it said 4 years to make. Then I read 4 months. You must have been quilting every day for many hours! You sure are fast. It's beautiful! Can you give us more info? Fabric brand and color. What kind of batting? What kind and weight of thread? Thanks.
Wow! So elegant and beautiful!
Wonderful quilt! You and your group are very talented.
Just beautiful! Glad you had some help making this keepsake.
The quilt top is by Benartex and I chose the natural color (white was the other option). The batting was Dream, which is 100% cotton and wonderful to work with. I used just a simple thread to match the fabric which was again all cotton. The ladies in the quilting group I sew with took care care in hand stitching this with me over those 4 months. It is something I will treasure, both for the actual quilt and the time spent with friends.

I have always wanted to make a wholecloth quilt. Yours is just absolutely lovely! I use Quilters Dream Request. Did you use Request or Select? Also, where did you get the quilting pattern for your quilt? You should be very proud of this treasure. Beautiful!!!!
It is beautiful!! Well done!
Beautiful wholecloth quilt.
Really lovely. I've been thinking about making a Queen wholecloth for myself & am amazed at the cost & time that goes into it. What an incredible accomplishment for you to finish this quilt -- and it's beautifully understated while showing incredible skill. I'm hoping to machine quilt mine, but yours looks to be hand quilted. Wow!
This is absolutely beautiful, what a treasure to have.
What a beautiful quilt! Enjoy it and the memories you and your group created while quilting it.
