Hang my head as I admit, yep have done that one also, :)
Cool part is didn't break the needle, were able to pick it back out of the seam, didn't send the seam in a strange direction, like it does if you hit a round headed pins.
JMO... I do like this style of pin. :)

Last week I ironed some of my pins and melted the tops.
