Love it!!! Once you get to a certain point and see it coming together, you just can't stop. That's the way it was with my silk quilt, couldn't wait to see the finished product. You are doing a wonderful job

Oh my....I just sat back in my chair and stared at you gorgeous quilt with my mouth hanging open. I would have to constantly go into my bedroom to look at it..heehee :) Did I say your quilt is just beautiful!

pittsburgpam 01-20-2011 06:51 AM

Wow... thanks everyone. I am happy that I chose to do this pattern in these fabrics. I originally chose the pattern to do in red and beige scrappy but decided to do it for my daughter who saw the Balipops in my sewing room and liked them.

I need to do some careful figuring because I am really not sure if I have enough strips to do the final row of brown 4-patch blocks all around the outside. If not, I need to get a little more brown before I do those blocks so that it can be spread all around.

Love the blocks and colors in your quilt top.

Joan Gaddis 01-20-2011 07:15 AM

The pattern is called Faceted Jewels and I've only seen pictures of it done in bright colors with white background. My daughter's bedding is beige with dark brown piping so I did it in brown batiks to go with her bed.

Just beautiful you have alot of patience.

Gorgeous quilt!!! Love the colours!

pittsburgpam 01-20-2011 07:21 PM

The weekend is almost here!! I haven't worked on it other than sorting out the strips I have to see if there is enough.

The pattern is Faceted Jewels. I think it's an old, traditional pattern. I saw it on an Amish quilt site and loved it so I figured it up in EQ7. It may look difficult but it's all simple individual blocks.

brenda21 01-20-2011 07:22 PM

Amazing!

Gramyx7 01-20-2011 07:25 PM

Love the colors you used very pretty
