I think you are doing really well...I haven't tried this yet. Pretty new to machine work, I am just doing simple lines and trying not to fall off the ditches! Perhaps a cup of tea and a rest might be an idea (chocolate could be helpful!).

tutty 03-15-2011 08:18 PM

This is beautiful. I have not tried that style yet but feel I need to learn that too. Great job.

happymrs 03-16-2011 10:05 AM

Does freestyle mean, you make it up as you go, or do you have a pattern you are using? Just curious? I like design, I think it's coming out very nice, will watch for photo updates! Keep at it, nice work!

susie0808 03-16-2011 10:07 AM

I think it looks great. Glad to hear that I am not the only one running my machine in the wee hours of the morn. Can't wake everyone up either, but sometimes it's the best time fore me cause it's the quietest and I'm not as stiff in my joints.

GagaSmith 03-16-2011 05:04 PM

Great job! I really like it!

Dear Nancy,
Freestyle, dog feet are covered or dropped so there is no grip on the fabric, hands move the fabric around to create a quilt pattern of any sort. A pattern traced on the fabric or swirls ect.
the bobbin is critical, the tension is critical and the thread !! UUGGHH really good thread of it breaks, then breaks again.
Still not feeling the love of this.
Ell

Love your quilt. It is so sweet. The blue birds are adorable. How big are the sunflowers?
