WIP irish chain
Last year i fell in love with Connecting Thread's Neutral love line. I order some to make a queen size quilt for my bed. I procrastinated for a year. Today I finally put the HST and 4 patches together in 12 1/2 in blocks. Still need to sew them together and add borders. I'm a litttle intimidated at the thought of sandwiching and quilting such a large quilt. (My first queen size.)

This is fabulous!

Looks great but it resembles a Jacob's Ladder and Irish Chain combo to me. It might be an original.

Ugh. Not sure why I put Irish chain on the topic when I knew it was a Jacob ladder. Overly tired last night I guess.

Well, it sure is pretty whichever name it is going by.
.. the alternate squares in the blocks do line up to a Irish Chain effect but it is pretty whatever you call it.:)
Lovely quilt; love the fabrics, colors used and the pattern.
Love the colors and the pattern. Can't wait to see it quilted.
Beautiful and love the fabric collection!
just leave it on the floor and enjoy it awhile. You could quilt it as you go in sections. I think it's Marti Mitchel that has a book out called Machine quilting in Sections. Two or three sections would be easier to handle.
Wow!! Your quilt is stunning!! Love those fabrics.
Lovely choice of pattern and fabrics. Sure would look good in my living room.
I love that. The pattern is great and so are the colors. Good job.

love those colors and the quilt looks great.
Oh I love the colors. Great job.
Very pretty

There's several ways you can quilt it in sections. It depends on your preference which one you use. I do it a lot, because unless it is a gift, the cost of the long arm is too expensive for me. I realize they do a fabulous job, but I could not afford to pay for every quilt I make. Try it. It works well.

Love the fabrics and the pattern! It turned out great. Don't be intimidated. Just jump right in there!
Love it. Great Colors!
