WIP--veggie tote--my progress so far

I recently started volunteering with Meals on Wheels and wanted to make a tote for the volunteer coordinator. I bought 2 charm packs of the "Farmer's Market" fabric from RJR and played with several design options with EQ. Although I love the look of on-point settings, I don't enjoy making them. So I'm working on other ideas for the back of the tote. I haven't decided yet what I'll do for the back, but I do know it won't be another on-point setting. I usually use deco-bond on my totes, but I'm thinking of using insul-bright on this one so it will be washable. I've never worked with insul-bright before. So if anybody has any opinions on this, I'd love to hear them.

I love the setting you used and the farmer's market has always been a big hit with me. This will make a wonderful gift and I am sure she will treasure it.

That is really gorgeous!

Why insul bright? How about fusible fleece? That's what I use for totes. I guess you could put a pocket on the back side of the tote.

Have you thought about window paning the back side? Same sashing just not on point - be a lot easier. Maybe use this on point one for a front flap similar to a messenger bag.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure the finished bag will be gorgeous and well appreciated!

Beautiful and for a terrific cause! I also use the fusible fleece on my tote.

Great use of the wonderful Farmer's Market fabrics. Love the way the black really shows off each print. Tote is looking real good. A lovely gift.

I love those fabrics, some day I want to make an outdoor table cloth with them. Fat Quarters?
