They are not reverse applique, but are fused cut out and then stitched down. If you go back thru the post (the actual fusing part and stitching down part is on page 7) for the horse parade one. I will post a final picture of it today. Am still working on the Little Cowgirls and the Roundup one.

And Horse Parade is DONE!

I couldn't get a very detailed of the whole thing, but it really looks 3D.

WOW patient is right. That is a time consuming act of love your putting forth. Do you do this with paper cutting too? Fabric has so much more movement it has to be a difficult thing to do. That is going to be so pretty. My house is completely done with Western pantings and photographs of horses and cows and cowboys. I love this one. I am not coordinated enough to cut one myself sigh. Nerve damage and all. I will just have to enjoy your work from here :)

I have never done paper cuttin before but might have to check into that...

There are many Western patterns that have the silouettes pre-cut by laser ... One is located in Oregon. I am sorry that I cannot remember the name of the company, but there is a good chance that you will find many opportunities to work with these projects without having to do all the cutting.

I made a wall hanging out of the Hi-Ho Silouette and found it very easy to work with. <wave>

Here is another step in the "Little cowgirls" adding of borders.
I chose the Brown/tan mottled color because I thought it brings out the same color that is within the picture.
An now ready to sandwich and Quilt...
