I made this one also -- still have the mitered border to put on. I normally don't do BOMs but enjoyed this one. I didn't have any issues with the fabric either. Maybe your pieces were cut off grain so they frayed more. I really prefer to cut my own fabric so I don't have those issues! Your pillow shams really finish it off nicely.
