you will be amazed when you finish how the whole is so much better than each piece! be sure to show and tell when you are done :-D :-D

wonderful. Don't be embarrased, we all started as beginners and it should be a joy, not a contest. Pleased you have shared your first with us and know you'll be on to many more.

Why in the world are you embarassed? Every one of us has a first quilt, and probably several attempts to that first quilt. You are doing exactly how you're supposed to be doing. Keep it up, it will get easier every day!

Looks to me like you are doing fine. You wouldn't want to see my beginner's quilt. Keep going, you'll do fine.

Hi, and welcome from Louisiana. You are doing a great job. Like everything else, it takes practice. Be sure to let us see the finished project.

your off to a great start!here;s a couple of tips that might make it easier for you! If you didn't cut all your fabric into squares: take your fabric, cut the width of your squares, by the width of the fabric(WOF), sew 2 set of dog+solid+dog, & 1 set solid+dog+solid. cut off selvages, cut the width of your squares. altrenating, sew 3 sets together-9patch no inset seams! IF you already cut all your squares,- you can sew sets of 3's, together then sew the rows together, again no inset seams!

Your colors are great together. I love the dog print. Looks like you are doing well. Honey it only gets better fron now on.

Well, gee, that's how you start. Do something you can understand and succeed at, and then you are hooked!

You should see my first few quilts. My 20 yr. old son has my first one that I made two years ago. He helped decide the colors and how dark or light it should be. when I look at all the flubs in the design of that quilt, I just blush. BUT - my son loves it, and washes it to death. It has been on his bed for two years; he brings it down to the couch to do homework on a chilly night, throws it (cringe) in his truck to take on picnics, and in general just uses it to death. Honestly I wouldn't trade that first quilt for anything.

I hope you will feel the same way about your first ones. It is a growing process. Enjoy the ride!
