They're VERY easy to make. Fun too. Well for now anyway LOL

sewnsewer2 as of right now still more than 30...but not all of them want this pattern. They've become pickier and pickier to boot LOL. Some are for my oldest daughter's friends...the disco one is for a friend of my oldest nephew's wife...etc. So...the list just continues to grow and grow.

jbsstrawberry,
Those bags are great!!! I love them. I was thinking of making one or two. Did you use the same measurements as the directions. I only ask as from the directions it looks like in would only be 2 inches from the top to the top of the six pockets, but your picture looks like more then 2 inches. I love the way yours looks.

Thanks again for sharing!!!

PS what type of batting did you use?? Just wondering. We have teachers appreciation next week and I would love to make these for my son's teachers.

Chele 05-01-2009 03:05 AM

Great job Strawberry! You are one sweet lady to take on such a large list of bags to make for friends and family! I have a big pile of fabric and handles I have ready to make bags too. But, I haven't the time recently. Babysitting for my brother this week. :) Three year olds are something to take care of ....

Thanks! Yes, I did use the same measurements as the directions; and yes i thought mine were a bit more on top than the pic too. Could be because I used medium weight pelon on the half of the pocket piece towards the outside of the bag. I used thin low-loft batting i got from a quilt shop, but i used a double layer of it on each side. One layer didn't provide enough body for the top to stand up tall and proud. Same reason I added the pelon...i didn't want saggy pockets.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. I'll post more as I get them done :). I'm gonna switch up the pattern for awhile...don't want to get board doing the same one over and over without a break.
