I had posted a photo of some 16 patch squares using 2" blocks that I wasn't sure what I was going to do but after seeing several on this site I decided to use them in a pattern off the Quiltville site. This is what I have so far. You like? It's a little bit country which is not what I usually do but I'm liking this.

Looking good!! Nice arrangement of the colors and I like the secondary pattern that shows up when doing patterns like that.

Jammin' Jane 04-19-2011 09:18 PM

Great colors. It has a definite richness to it! It's beautiful!

I like it, since your scrappy fabric matches it looks non-scrappy to me. Very nice.

dhanke 04-19-2011 10:18 PM

Your quilt is going to be beautiful, those country colors are so appealing. I just finished up one like yours, it's in bright colors with a white background. I love to see the same pattern made up in different colors and fabrics, that's part of the fascination of quilting. If you'd like to see a picture of my version, search for A Day At the Beach.

This is great. Love the design and the colors both.

I got a bunch of 2" squares from St Vincents. I made several tops using them but I have a bunch more so I may try your pattern.

Thusnelda 04-20-2011 12:12 AM

I love the warmth of the colours. Makes you want to cuddle up in it.

quiltsillysandi 04-20-2011 04:31 AM

I really like it too...I'm not much of a scrappy quilter, but the more I see quilts like this, the more I'm thinking I need to get on that scrappy train....:)

Jaos 04-20-2011 04:32 AM

Very nice!

MaryAnna 04-20-2011 04:35 AM

Just fabulous! I love it, and scrappy country is all the rage right now, so very 'on point' with what's going on in our country. I'm antsy to get a few quiltville quilts done myself. Thanks for the inspiration! Great job!
Blessings,
MaryAnna

Great colours. Looking forward to seeing the completed project.

ljptexas 04-20-2011 04:37 AM

I really like it! I love the scrappy look! When I'm doing blocks, I set aside pieces big enough to make 2.5" blocks of diff colors. One of these days (which is not a day of the week) I'll do something with them!

Mariposa 04-20-2011 04:39 AM

emerald46 04-20-2011 04:42 AM

That is going to be gorgeous. Such pretty scraps and it is so timeless looking. Great job!

Teapots and Quilts 04-20-2011 05:13 AM

Yes...I really like it! Even though country isn't in vogue so much anymore...I still gravitate toward anything country.

feline fanatic 04-20-2011 05:25 AM

I am LOVING this! I really like the secondary on point design the setting plan produces. I love Bonnie Hunter's site too! She has such great scrap quilts.

hcarpanini 04-20-2011 05:26 AM

I had seen your quilt and loved it. I was putting what I have together when it appeared and it inspired me to continue. If only there were more hours in a day to this stuff and not other obligations..

roadrunr 04-20-2011 05:38 AM
