It wouldn't have to be exactly the same thing. Even a dark green with the dots would look good. But I would bind it woth whatever I chose for that last border.

That is a beautiful quilt, let us know if u find the fabric, and post a final pic with the border you choose. I can't wait to see it!
|
I would use a narrow strip of the green, then the final border in the black polka dot.
|
That turned out great.
|
I agree with the majority...black polka-dot AND black polka-dot binding.
|
That is an awesome quilt. I love your little houses. So cute. And the saying on the bottom is great. And so true. Wonderful job.

I think a dark color--one of the Browns, Blacks would be good--use a figure or tone-on-tone. I learned at a workshop our guild had that the last border needs to be anything but White. I learned that our eye keeps looking for "more," and the dark color will tell the eye that it is done looking.
It has worked for me! I love your quilt; esp. the houses on the border. You will like it even more once it is done. Mariah |
I hadn't thought of the polka dots some of the girls suggested. Great idea!
I just never got used to using polka-dots in anything, but would look good there!! Mariah-again. |
I would do the green and bind in the black polkadot also.
