Hi All

Does anyone here make year quilts....it is where you choose a piece of fabric for every day of the year which relates to your day...some people keep a diary of why they choose that, others just make the quilt.

It can be simple...for eg you may just use a piece of fabric you like, or from a quilt you worked on that day, or wedding fabric if you went to a wedding..the choice is yours!

Here is a couple I did a few years ago now...

The months are embroidered on the purple strips

I used a different colour border for each month in this one and just started in the centre and went round and round

What a great idea for a memory quilt. Each time you look at a piece it would remind you of that day.

Wow! Cool idea! I would have to keep a diary for sure. My mother kept a diary for 20+ years and would that have been neat to have a 20 quilts!

Yes - I wish I had done every year - I thought about this year but just didnt get around to it!
