They look great. The kids will enjoy them as a reminder of their great teacher. Sandy 64

Wonderful idea!

Wonderful idea, and so individually beautiful! I'm curious, what grade are the kids? The thing about a bookmark, is that it makes you want to read a book to use it. How clever to give a gift that will keep on giving to the kids.

5th! We've had 24 per class for a few years now. Too many to be as effective as we want to be. I asked my kids how many loved reading more now than in Sept and all but three raised their hand. (We did the math--87.5%) Two didn't because they said they loved reading in Sept and still do--it couldn't have increase lol and the other joined us in January and she says she doesn't like to read, but I told her I didn't get the full time with her. ;-)

I've been giving these for 3-4 years now, but usually in December with two new books each. I had too much going on to do that this year, but they still got the books. This is better timing. Moms of former students say their kids use these years after finishing 5th grade. :-)

What a great thing that you do. Fabric is great in that there is one just right for just about anyone.

Those are just too precious.

I taught fifth grade for many years. I'm now retired but I have 10 grandkids with a great grandchild on the way. Two of my granddaughters are going into teaching. One already has her masters and is teaching Autistic children. The other one is specializing in Early Childhood Ed. and Special Ed. I like to make things for the younger grandkids, and also for them to give to their classmates on special occasions. Last Valentine's Day, I made personalized embroidered Valentines for my youngest GD's classmates and her teachers. Would you be willing to tell us how you made these? They are great! I certainly agree that encouraging children to read is very important. These would also be great for the GDs to give to their classes.
