O, a quilters nightmare, but...yours isn't bad a all, I agree with everyone who said only you notice, nobody else does, so give it with a warm heart and congratulate yourself,
I think it's a beautiful quilt just as it is. Lovely fabric choices.
I always try to make one end of the quilt a bit different either on the front or back so I know which end goes up around my neck when I snuggle, and the part that was around my feet never gets close to my face....
Well, I don't see it?
I wouldn't worry about it as the baby won't. I always worry when I find a mistake in any quilt, but nobody else does. I think it's a great quilt.
Don't say a word. You planned it that way. No one will ever know.
It is gorgeous. Baby will love it.
Don't point it out and she may never notice. Otherwise its just how you tell the top from the bottom:thumbup:
Call out a "design choice"
Meant to say call it a design choice
I was looking at all the pretty blue prints and completely looked past it! Again, as had been said so many times on this blog - It is not a mistake, it is a design element!
I think it looks great. You are the only one that knows that it wasn't planned that way. The fabrics & colors are gorgeous too.
I agree with the others. It looks great & I really had to look to notice your "planned glitch". I also like the answer from PaperPrincess. This way you can tell which end is up !! LOL
I don't think it's glaring. I think it's a great quilt the baby will love.
No one will ever notice. It's a great quilt.
I think it is a nice baby quilt.
My DIL always says to me that I am my own worst critic. We tend to do that. This is so cute and all of the post have your back.

[QUOTE=ArtsyOne;7712516]I spent a few weekends making this baby quilt for a coworker and congratulated myself yesterday when it was all done. It wasn't until I looked at a photo of it for my album that I noticed the glaring mistake: I'm missing an entire row of sashing! The top row is missing - it should be like the bottom. Aaaaargh!! QUOTE]
I did the exact same thing on a quilt I just finished for charity. It is still going and hope someone will love it. |
Beautiful quilt!
Is you want perfect, go to store and buy one. This is a one of a kind original specially for this precious baby.
Beautiful, I couldn't see that it makes a difference.
Been there done that. Thankfully the quilt is not directional. But it is noticeable.😞 Oh well it is just a lap quilt so I will be giving it anyway.
Would not have noticed so don't worry. It's pretty as is.
Love it! As others have said, no one will notice.
I learned the hard way about 5 yrs. ago; don't take it apart and re-o it. I did that on a wall hanging, and it took a year to und and redo it! I really wasn't worth it! Enjoy! Mariah |
Lovely quilt! Pretty colors, and creative design. :)

And it took me a little while to see your "intention." Mistake? Never! Wonderful gift to celebrate an addition to the human family made by a thoughtful quilter. Congrats. A |
Wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said anything. Nice quilt!
I don't think it is that glaring. Just relax. Ditto the one that suggested you could tell the top by this. Trust me, I have made a few that are a lot more obvious than this!!
Really pretty! Don't think mom or baby will notice! Shucks! Took me a minute to figure it out but I am still figuring out quilting! LOL!
