They are sewn on black strips and then the strips are sewn together. I just marked an equal distance apart for each one. I was surprised myself how easily and nicely they lined up:)

When I lived at Redstone Arsenal, way back then, a lady name of Winnie made beautiful yo-yo quilts. I wonder if she is still making them?

Very pretty quilt. I may have to try making a yoyo. I'm fairly new to quilting. I noticed the lamp on the night stand. I have 2 of those. Have had them for years. I think I got them with TV stamps so that tells you how old they are. I love them.

Oh my gosh that is really a great quilt. I just did a few yo yo's for a project and loved making them. I've never seen so many yo yo's on a quilt before. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Now I wanna make more yo yo's. :)

THANK YOU for sharing these pictures. I have been making yo yos like a crazy woman for over a year...have dozens and dozens of them. I KNEW I did'nt want to sew them together and did'nt think ai couold sew them on a whole cloth background. Now I know I can and I can't wait to start laying them out and sewing them on. Your quilt is amazing.
