This is really unique. I love it.

butterflies5518 11-29-2010 05:39 PM

this is 62"x68", I also had a pattern for this "Design Originals" booklet #3413. I first made the yo yo's for the flowers and then as I made the borders attached them.

That quilt is lovely and your color choices are wonderful.

anicra 11-29-2010 06:25 PM

Very nice. That's a lot of yo-yos!

Quilting Pastor 11-29-2010 07:37 PM

A beautiful quilt! And I love the way you are using it ..... very stylish! What a wonderful way to use time that would otherwise be wasted!

omak 11-29-2010 10:23 PM

That is a LOT of work!
Hats off to you for your perseverence as well as the fact that you created a wonderful heirloom.
Good job! <wave>

I like your color arrangement!

joquilter 11-30-2010 05:33 AM

Personally, I don't like yo-yo's, I prefer paper pieced hexagons. But your quilt is awesome. Way to go!

Cookie64 11-30-2010 06:39 AM

Very pretty, great job on the weight loss.

wish i could fine a quilt pattern that would help me lost weight.

misseva 11-30-2010 09:23 AM

WOW!!! Love IT. did you use a yo-yo maker or do them the old fashioned way? I have a yo-yo maker that i got from sewing with nancy and i made a few for a baby quilt that you can see on my avatar and I thought I WOULD NEVER FINISH!! of course i had my left wrist in a cast at the time and it really rubbed my hand the wrong way.

needles3thread 11-30-2010 06:01 PM

Very nice. I like it better in 'a design' rather than yo yo's
all over.

butterflies5518 11-30-2010 06:21 PM

absolutely used a yo-yo maker! The only way to go!

JEM65 11-30-2010 06:48 PM

Your quilt is amazing! Just lovely! I am working on a few toss pillows for my living room using yo-yo's and I can't imagine over 900 of them! Congratulations on the weight loss too - awesome! Check out Patti on the user list, she has several projects with yo-yo's including a wall hanging, quilt, and pillows - they are so beautiful!

marmalade 12-01-2010 09:33 AM

I love yo-yos and yours is beautiful!

On a side note...I like your version of the "yo-yo" diet! I may try it.

annette1952 12-01-2010 07:46 PM
